Fencers Set for Philadelphia Invitational Friday, Sunday

With the Ivy League Championships less than a month away, the Princeton fencing teams will continue their preparation at the Philadelphia Invitational, hosted on Friday at Temple and on Sunday at Penn.

Princeton was ranked No. 4 in the country on both the men's and women's sides in the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association's preseason poll. Among the other teams included in that poll on the docket this weekend are Penn State, ranked No. 5 on the men's side, Duke, ranked No. 6 on the women's side and No. 10 on the men's, Yale, No. 9 on the men's side, and Johns Hopkins, whose men ranked second and women third in the Division III poll.

Following the meet, Princeton is scheduled to have a visit from Wagner on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in the Stan Sieja Fencing Room before going to Penn State in a recent change to the schedule on Jan. 26, replacing the meet at LIU.
