Trio of Tigers Set for Pool Trophy Draw at CSA Individuals

Ahmed Hussein, Zain Ahmed and Avi Agarwal will compete for the Pool Trophy in the top draw at the CSA individual championships in New York beginning Saturday.

Draws

Hussein and Ahmed will start at 10:40 a.m. in the round of 32, with Hussein facing Dartmouth's Christian Shah and Ahmed facing Rochester's Yash Fadte. Agarwal will start at 11:30 a.m. against Harvard's Denis Gilevskiy.

This will be the first time that any of the three Tigers will be competing in the Pool Trophy draw. Hussein is 3-2 in dual matches this season, going 2-2 at first position and 1-0 at second. Ahmed is 5-2, going 1-0 at first position, 3-2 at second and 1-0 at third. Agarwal is 7-0, going 2-0 at first, 1-0 at second, 2-0 at third, and 2-0 at fourth.

The event is scheduled to have the first two rounds on Saturday, the quarterfinals on Sunday, the semis on Monday and the finals on Tuesday.

Saturday's and Sunday's matches will take place at OpenSquash's Financial District location before competition moves to Grand Central Station for Monday and Tuesday.
