Wunder's OT Goal Caps Win Over Yale
November 25, 2025 | Women's Ice Hockey
Issy Wunder and Hannah Fetterolf each scored twice as the No. 13-ranked Princeton women's hockey team was a 4-3 overtime winner over Yale in a non-league game at Baker Rink on Tuesday afternoon.
After Yale opened the scoring with a Jordan Ray goal just past the midway point of the first period, Wunder answered with just less than six minutes to go in the first period, taking a pass across the crease from Mackenzie Alexander for the finish.
Fetterolf had the first two of the second period's three goals, getting Princeton the lead for the first time on the day less than two minutes into the middle frame after picking up the puck heading into the Princeton attacking zone and winning the one-on-one battle with Bulldogs netminder Naomi Baechler.
Closing in on five minutes left in the second, Katherine Khramtsov stole a puck deep in the Tiger attacking zone and sent it across to Fetterolf, who had the finish on the doorstep.
Yale got back within one on a Stephanie Stainton power-play goal with just more than a minute to go in the second period and tied it in the first minute of the third on a Naomi Boucher goal.
It stayed 3-3 through the end of regulation, but not much longer. In the 3-on-3 overtime, Gabby Kim fired a centering pass to Wunder in the slot, and Wunder buried it for the win.
