Alexander's Hat Trick Propels No. 11/11 Women's Hockey By No. 14/15 Colgate, 6-1
December 05, 2025 | Women's Ice Hockey
The win is the first for the Tigers in Hamilton since Game 1 of the 2023 ECAC Quarterfinals and the first in a regular season game since a 1-0 win on 11/1/19.
The victory extends Princeton's winning streak to six games, its longest since an eight-game heater last season. It also moves the Tigers into first place in the ECAC with 19 points, one ahead of Cornell -- the opponent up next for Princeton.
Alexander tied her career high with four points, adding an assist to have a piece in 4-of-6 Tiger goals in the game.
Emerson O'Leary had a three-point night with a goal and two assists, while Angelina DiGirolamo and Issy Wunder each had two assists in the game. Jane Keuhl had a goal and an assist to also record a multi-point night.20' left 3rd pd | Princeton 6, Colgate 1

Uma Corniea, the reigning ECAC and Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Month for November, picked up where she left off with 35 saves.
The Tigers never trailed in the game, taking a 1-0 lead on O'Leary's strike 1:30 into the game and never looking back.
Just under two minutes later, Alexander connected for her first of the night as she finished off a dogged forecheck by the Tigers with a quick snipe alone in the slot.18' left, 1st pd | Princeton 1, Colgate 0

Alexander regained the two-goal lead for Princeton before the end of the second period, breaking in alone after a long aerial pass sprung her free to stickhandle the Colgate goalie out of position and slide in her second of the night.
Jane Keuhl broke open the game with a goal 2:00 into the third, pouncing on a loose puck after a Colgate turnover and roofing the puck short-side to make it a 4-1 game.2:07 2nd | Princeton 3, Colgate 1

All that was left was to see if Alexander could record the hat trick, and a nifty pass from Issy Wunder back across the grain to a wide-open Alexander for a tap-in with 10 seconds to play did the trick.17' left 3rd pd | Princeton 5, Colgate 1
