Kitty Williams Honored as First Built Different Award Winner
April 24, 2026 | Women's Ice Hockey
PRINCETON, N.J. - Kitty Williams has been named the inaugural recipient of the Built Different Award, a new honor introduced this season by Princeton Women's Ice Hockey.
Voted on by her teammates, the award recognizes the player who chooses what's hard - the one who shows up on the good days and the bad days, who puts the team before themselves, does the extra work when nobody is watching, and never cuts corners.
Being "built different" isn't about talent, it's about discipline, consistency, and selflessness. They show up for themselves so they can show up for the team. Williams embodies what it means to be "built different," demonstrating unwavering discipline, selflessness, and a standard of excellence that elevates those around her.
