Fencers Head for Sunday Atop Ivy Meet

It'll all come down to Sunday at The Palestra for the Princeton fencing teams.
Both Tiger teams went unbeaten through Saturday's schedule in Philadelphia, but the teams that also turned in the best results on Saturday await. The men's standings show Princeton at 3-0 and Columbia at 2-0. The Lions will take on 1-1 Harvard at 9 a.m. while the Tigers have a bye, and then Princeton and Columbia will meet at 10:15. The women's standings had the same names at the top, with Princeton at 4-0, Columbia at 3-0 and Harvard at 3-0. Harvard and Princeton will meet at 12:15 p.m. while the Lions have Cornell, with Columbia and Harvard meeting at 1:30 with Princeton on a bye. Princeton will face Columbia at 2:45 with Harvard meeting Penn at that time.

Individually on the men's side, Princeton had three of the top four épées on the first day, with Alec Brooke going 8-1, Nicholas Lawson 7-1, and Alexander Liu 6-3. Allen Chen was Princeton's top men's foil at 6-3, while Matthew Limb led the saber crew at 5-4.
On the women's side, Princeton had the top three saber fencers by win totals, with Emese Domonkos going 11-1, Alexandra Lee going 11-1, and Madeline Sanz going 8-4. Chin-Yi Kong rolled through the first day of the foil competition with a perfect 12-0 record with Maia Weintraub going 9-3, and Hadley Husisian was unbeaten in épée at 11-0.
