July 07, 2025 | General, Men's Golf, Women's Golf
NBC Sports and St Andrews Links Trust have announced that the Princeton will join the University of St Andrews, Cal and Michigan State to comprise the field for the 2025 St Andrews Links Collegiate Presented by World Wide Technology, to be held at the historic Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland, this October 13-15. This will mark the first appearances in the event for Princeton as well as Cal and Michigan State with host University of St Andrews returning for the second time.
The three-day event will feature men's and women's golf teams from all four universities with two days of stroke play on the Jubilee Course followed by a day of medal match play on the Old Course at St Andrews.
"We're honored to have been invited to compete at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate," said men's head coach Will Green. "This tournament has already become a must-do for any college golf program, and to be invited to the third installment is a testament to the student-athletes who represent Princeton and have shown their capability to compete at this level. I can't wait to bring our teams to the birthplace of golf and experience the competition, camaraderie and culture together."
This is the third edition of the St Andrews Links Collegiate, which was first contested in 2023. Princeton will be the first Ivy League school represented in the event.
Previous Champions
2023: North Carolina (women), Vanderbilt (men)
2024: Arizona (women), Northwestern (men)
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our teams to compete together at golf's grandest and most historic venue," said women's head coach Erika DeSanty. "Bringing Princeton Golf across the pond together in a competitive way will be a tremendous experience to close out our fall season, and it offers us a chance to showcase our skills and talent to a global audience. We are so thankful for the invitation and look forward to everything that this tournament has to offer."
Golf Channel will present live coverage of the St Andrews Links Collegiate in the United States from October 13-15 beginning each morning at 9 a.m. ET, with encores airing each afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. Sky Sports will provide coverage in the U.K.
"It will be a privilege to host the third playing of the St Andrews Links Collegiate later this year" said James Ralley, Commercial Director at St Andrews Links Trust. "We're proud to once again invite some of the best men's and women's college golfers to St Andrews and pleased to work with NBC Sports and World Wide Technology to deliver another memorable tournament at the Home of Golf."
"We are proud to partner with St Andrews Links Trust for the third consecutive year on this collegiate event at the Home of Golf," said Andrea Starkey, NBC Sports VP, Golf Partnerships and Rights Management. "The St Andrews Links Collegiate is a significant part of our college golf portfolio and we're excited to welcome three new men's and women's teams from the distinguished universities of Princeton University, Michigan State University, and the University of California, Berkeley, along with our host in the University of St Andrews."
