Kovács, Bell Pick Up NWPC Weekly Awards As Tigers Head To New York

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton men's water polo team will head to New York for a triple header and to kick off conference play.
The Tigers will face No. 5 Fordham to kick off the day before heading to Iona and LIU for the first NWPC games of the 2025 season.
Princeton is coming off a 2-2 performance at the Overnght MPSF Invitational in California where the team placed tenth.
Kristóf Kovács picked up his third straight NWPC Defensive Player of the Week honors following three double digit save performances and had 41 total. He also added three assists on the weekend.
Taylor Bell had a strong weekend for the Tigers, being named the NWPC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. The freshman racked up eight goals including four against then ranked No. 8 UC Irvine. Bell also had five steals, two drawn exclusions and an assist on the stat sheet.
JP Ohl had a 16 assist weekend and became the second player in program history to reach 200 in a career. Ohl is now just 20 assists away from setting a new program record.
