Jack Stahl Named To USILA Team Of The Week Again
March 17, 2026 | Men's Lacrosse
Another week. Another lockdown defensive performance. Another USILA Team of the Week award.Â
Jack Stahl, a Princeton junior defenseman, earned the USILA honor for the second-straight week, this time after the third-ranked Tigers took down Yale 11-10 in New Haven in the ivy opener for both teams. Stahl guarded Sean Grogan, the Bulldogs' leading goal scorer, and shut him out, as Grogan's only goal came on an extra man opportunity when Stahl was not on him. Stahl also had two caused turnovers and five groundballs in the game.Â
This performance continued a four-game run for Stahl that has seen him hold four big-time goal scorers to a combined three goals on 24 shots while having six caused turnovers and nine groundballs. The most recent player Stahl had guarded was Rutgers' Colin Kurdyla, who was also named to the USILA team after having eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in two games this past week.Â
Princeton was ranked third again in the three major polls, from Inside Lacrosse, the USILA and USA Lacrosse Magazine. Next up for Princeton will be a home game against Cornell, the defending NCAA champion who is currently ranked 10th in the Kane media poll. Princeton is 18-5 since the start of last season, and two of those losses came to the Big Red.Â
Face-off on Sherrerd Field will be at noon.Â
