Women’s Rugby Set For Spring 7s Season
March 18, 2026 | Women's Rugby
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's rugby team's schedule is set for the 2026 spring 7s season.
The Tigers open the season at the Navy 7s on Mar. 22 in Annapolis, Maryland, before making the trip to West Chester, Pennsylvania, for the West Chester 7s on Mar. 29.
Following the WCU 7s, Princeton plays at the Tropical 7s in Tampa, Florida, on Apr. 3-4 then at the Ivy 7s on Apr. 11 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The season concludes on Apr. 25-25 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the CRAA/USA Rugby National Championships.
In addition, Princeton hosted Brown and Mount Saint Mary's in a scrimmage on Apr. 14.
"What a day on Saturday -- brilliant start to the spring in our preseason scrimmages," said Assistant Coach Lauren Rhode. "Our goals included, one, start getting reps in our new 7s system before our first full tournament at Navy on Mar. 22, two, get five players into their first-ever rugby matches and three, have fun in a low-pressure, high-energy environment on our home turf! We raised the bar each match and set the baseline on which we'll build next weekend. The first match vs. Mount was a nail-biter, the second two matches vs. Brown A and Brown B brought learnings against the three-time defending CRC national champions, and the final vs. Mount B was a brilliant win spearheaded by our newest student-athletes. To cap off the weekend, thrilled to have brought our Tigers up to HSBC 7s on Mar. 15 to soak up the festival of rugby in our home state!"
