Defending Ivy Champion Princeton Picked First in Ivy Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The defending Ivy Champion Princeton women's volleyball team was picked first in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday.

With 11 first-place votes and 122 points to top the table, Tigers are chasing more titles in 2026 after winning the Ivy League regular season championship and the Ivy League Tournament last Fall.

Princeton posted a record of 18-7 and 11-3 in league play, and the regular season title was the Tigers' 21st, marking the most of any team in the conference. It was also the Tigers' first tournament win in three years.

Among the key returners this season is senior Erin McNair, who ranked second on the squad in kills per set last season with 2.83. She was also second in aces with 22, and made 198 digs to rank fourth.

Setter Sydney Draper, the Tigers' 2025 assist leader (966), also returns for her senior season, while libero and fellow libero Sydney Bold returns after leading the Tigers in digs (308) and aces (25) last season.

The Tigers will open the season next Friday, September 4 at the Colgate Tournament, where they will take on Villanova, Arizona State and Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y.
