Condon puts job search on hold with flawless pre-season net play for Canadiens

TORONTO — Michael Condon says there was a point a few years ago when he thought he might have to put his political science degree from Princeton to good use in the business world.

“I wasn’t getting any offers and I was thinking about filling out some job applications,” Condon said Saturday after he made 17 saves to lead the Canadiens to a 1-0 pre-season win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

Condon had finished his four seasons at Princeton and was hoping for an offer to continue his hockey career.
