Rankin Signs Contract with Brampton

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO (4/10/14) - Princeton senior Kyle Rankin has signed a standard player contract with the Brampton Beast of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) it was announced by the club on Tuesday, March 8.
Rankin, a native of Kanata, Ontario, recently completed his collegiate career at Princeton this past weekend in the ECAC first-round playoff series at Clarkson. He played in his first game with Brampton on Tuesday evening against the Wheeling Nailers.
Brampton is an affiliate of the St. John's Ice Caps (AHL) and the Montreal Canadiens (NHL).
A history major, Rankin played in 117 career games at Princeton and had 10 goals and 21 assists. A three-time ECAC All-Academic team member, Rankin was a leader on the ice acting as team captain as a senior and assistant captain as a junior.
