The All-Ivy men’s golf team was selected for the first time in 1970 and prior to 1975 was determined by performance in the Eastern Intercollegiate Tournament. Beginning in 1975, the All-Ivy team has been determined by performance in the League Championship. From 1970-2009, the top-seven Ivy finishers earned All-Ivy honors. Starting with the 2010 championship, the competition’s top-five finishers (including ties) earned first team honors, while the second team is comprised of sixth-place through tenth-place (including ties). In 2025, the All-Ivy teams expanded to include an honorable mention team and are voted on by the League's head coaches at the end of the season and take into accounty the entire season's play.
