At North Laurel — led Kentucky in tackles as a sophomore, junior and senior, with at least 120 each season … three-time all-district and Tri-County first-team honoree … also earned a pair of all-region honors and all-state honorable mention while playing linebacker, defensive end, running back and fullback … finished fifth in the state in rushing as a senior (1512 yards and 14 touchdowns on 148 carries) … helped North Laurel to first playoff win in school history … two-time team captain … also lettered in track & field, where he was named Team MVP … member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club … Penn Station Athlete of the Year.
