At Princeton — 2014: earned second-team All-EIVA honors … named to the EIVA all-tournament team after leading Princeton to the 2014 EIVA championship match … posted brilliant numbers in the EIVA postseason, averaging 4.4 kills per set and a .509 attack percentage … ranked fourth in the EIVA in points (4.0) and fifth in kills (3.21) per set … had 14 matches with double-digit kills, including 22 at Harvard and 20 at Concordia … recorded 12 kills, three blocks, two digs and two aces in Princeton’s first victory over Penn State since 1998 … ranked 11th nationally with .41 aces per set; also ranked in the Top 35 nationally in points (30th) and kills (34th). 2013: earned first-team All-EIVA honors after leading the league in points (4.5) and ranking second in kills (3.7) … ranked seventh nationally in points and 12th in kills … recorded double-digit kills in 18 matches, including season high 24 in win at NJIT … had two other matches with 20 kills, including one in near upset of nationally ranked Loyola-Chicago … averaged 17 kills and 4.5 blocks in victories over nationally ranked UC Santa Barbara and Harvard … had nine matches with multiple service aces and 11 matches with at least three blocks … averaged 1.4 digs per set, including nine in home win over Sacred Heart … had double-digit kills in all three matches against Penn State. 2010: became Princeton’s first EIVA Newcomer of the Year … started 24 of 25 matches and finished second on the team with 3.6 kills per set … recorded 1.7 digs and .6 blocks per set … recorded double-digit kills in 19 matches; set career high with 31 kills in 3-2 win over Springfield … earned EIVA Player of the Week honors after Springfield win … had at least 20 kills in five matches … recorded double-digit digs in five matches, including career-high 15 in crucial late-season win over George Mason.
Before Princeton — earned All-America honors … led Orchard Park to a New York state championship and two runner-up finishes … selected to the national youth training team … MVP of the Eden Pan Am tournament … scholar-athlete award winner … Outstanding Student of Chemistry recipient.
Personal — born March 2, 1991 … son of Steven and Colleen Schwagler … father is an insurance agent; mother is an IRS tax advocate … Pat took a year off from Princeton to pursue mission work in Uganda, to do what he calls "his one and only real passion" ... has two older brothers, Brad and Dan … enjoys snowboarding, disc golf and lacrosse … interested in studying civil engineering … enjoys mountain climbing.
