Reid Joseph was one of seven Tigers to score more than 20 goals in 2005, plus he ranked second on the team in assists and led the group in steals. Joseph scored 21 goals, had 20 assists and 39 steals. Joseph scored three goals twice during the season, coming against George Washington and Johns Hopkins, and had three other two-goal games. Joseph also had two three-assist games during the season. Joseph made his second appearance on the AWPCA All-Academic team following the season.
As a sophomore Joseph scored 16 goals, which followed his 33-goal freshman campaign that helped him earn Eastern Rookie of the Year honors. Last season Joseph scored three goals in a game twice, in wins against Navy and UC Davis. He scored in 10 different games, including the first goal in Princeton’s dramatic 3-2 quadruple overtime win over St. Francis for the Eastern Championship. He was named second-team All-Southern, first-team All-Eastern and to the AWPCA All-Academic team following the season.
Joseph captained both sports in high school and earned all-academic, first-team all-CIF and all-America honors in 2002 when he guided the water polo team to a CIF championship title. The same year he was named first-team all-CIF and all-county in volleyball.
