David Benjamin played in three games during the 2008 season, registering an assist in Princeton's win over Queens. Benjamin was named to the CWPA All-Academic Squad following the season. As a sophomore, Benjamin appeared in seven games, recording a steal in Princeton’s win against Queens. He also appeared in contests against Fordham, Iona, Mercyhurst and Navy.

Benjamin played varsity water polo for four years at Ransom Everglades High School. He was also on the varsity swim team for four years, and was captain of the team and MVP his senior year. He competed at States every year. He was the recipient of Ransom’s 2006 Scholar-Athlete Award.
