2018: earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive season … earned first-team All-Ivy League honors for the third straight season … earned Google Cloud Academic All-District and Academic All-Ivy League honors … led the Ivy League with 3.44 kills per set and ranked second to teammate Clare Lenihan with a .371 attack percentage … averaged 21.5 kills in two matches against Yale, including 21-kill effort in 3-1 home win; O'Connell hit .441 in that match and added three digs and two blocks to earn Ivy League Player of the Week honors … had 14 matches with double-digit kills, and three with at least 20 kills … had season-high six blocks in win over Seton Hall
2017: became the seventh Princeton player, and first underclassman, to earn Ivy League Player of the Year honors; joined Parker Henritze '09 as the only Tiger to earn both Player and Rookie of the Year awards in the same career … earned All-Region honors after being the only player to rank in both the Ivy League Top 5 in kills (3.38) and points (3.74), as well as the Top 10 in hitting percentage (.279) … earned Academic All-Ivy League honors … one of two players in the Ivy League to earn unanimous first-team All-Ivy League honors … named the Ivy League Player of the Week after recording 18 kills and hitting .500 in Ivy-clinching 3-0 win at Harvard … ended season with eight straight matches with double-digit kills, including 12 in Ivy playoff win over Yale and 11 in NCAA tournament match against Iowa State … recorded 60 blocks and 66 digs during the season … had season-best 22 kills in 3-2 comeback win at Boston College … had seven matches with at least four blocks
