Princeton Has Rough Outing at Seton Hall

South Orange, N.J. - The Princeton men's soccer team had its three-match winning streak come to a halt this afternoon at Seton Hall with a 6-2 loss to the Pirates. Princeton's record is now 3-2 overall and the Pirates move to 7-1.
Seton Hall got on the board first with a goal at the 18:30 mark of the first half by Greg Strohman. The Pirates added two more goals before the first half ended, one of which on a penalty kick.
After the break, Princeton scored first on a goal by Mike Nugent (So., West Windsor, N.J.) from six yards out. Matt Behncke (So., Williamsburg, Va.) assisted on the tally. Following another Seton Hall goal, Nugent struck again to cut the lead to 4-2. Kevin Griffin (Jr., Jenkintown, Pa.) assisted on the blast from 25 yards out.
Following the second Princeton goal, Tiger keeper Jason White (Fr., Maple Glen, Pa.) was replaced by Jeff Gillie (So., Scotch Plains, N.J.). White left at the 80:30 mark after giving up four goals and recording three saves. Gillie gave up the final two goals in eight-plus minutes of play.
The Tigers will continue their current road trip with more non-conference action at Hartwick on Saturday, Oct. 2.
