Tigers Handle Villanova With Ease

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Princeton men's and women's swimming teams traveled to Villanova University this afternoon for a dual meet with the Wildcats. Both Princeton teams came back to New Jersey with easy victories.
The men's team was led by Christopher Cunningham who finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:08.10. The Tigers also got good contributions from Matt Janson who finished first in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.74. Andy Shyong won the three-meter diving competition which was held on Friday at DeNunzio Pool. The Tigers had 12 first place finished in the 16 events en route to a 195-85 victory.
On the women's side of the ledger, Princeton won nine of the 16 events. Erin Lutz took home both of the diving competitions. Kate Conroy won both the 100 and 200 backstroke to lead the Tigers. In all Princeton had 176 points to Villanova's 124.
Both teams are finished with competition until after the Holidays when they host Rutgers on January 8.
