One-Timers
- The whammy? - Princeton hasn't won five consecutive games since the
beginning of the 1947-48 season.
- In like a Lamb - Kirk Lamb played Major Junior A hockey and was
required by the NCAA to sit out all of last year and the first 9
regular-season games of this season. Lamb will skate as a Princeton Tiger
for the first time today.
- Merry(mack) Christmas - The only common opponent thus far for both
Princeton and Northeastern is Merrimack. Princeton defeated the Warriors,
4-1, at home while Northeastern was swept in a pair of one-goal games (5-4
at home, 4-3 OT at Merrimack).
- Out of the gates - Princeton has spent over 303 minutes this season in
the
lead (55.7%). It has been tied for just under 170 minutes (31.1%) and
trailed for just over 72 minutes (13.3%). Since the loss at BU, Princeton
has trailed for only 17 minutes.
- Out of the gates II - The Tigers are not a team you want to trail.
Princeton has never lost a game that it led (7-0-1) and has won twice in
games that it trailed (2-1-1).
- Natural born killers - In the past three games, Princeton has
successfully
defended 18 of 21 power-play opportunities. Before the Merrimack game, the
Tigers were giving up power-play goals at a 30 percent clip.
- Sharing the holiday joy - The Tigers have 16 players who have scored
at
least one goal this year. Among them are David Del Monte and Chris Barber,
both of whom scored their first goal in Princeton's last win against Yale.
For Del Monte, it was career goal No. 1.
- On the 1st day of Christmas - Princeton will spend the holidays as
the
top team in the ECAC. With 11 points, the Tigers lead Colgate by one
point.
- On the 2nd day of Christmas - Princeton is strongest in the second
period,

the sweep of Yale two weekends ago.

Princeton?s offense. Each center has six goals already this season.

Rankin and freshman Dave Stathos have combined for seven wins over the
past eight games. Rankin is 4-0-0 with a 2.39 goals against average while

- On the 8th day of Christmas - Halpern leads the team in plus/minus
(+8).

was hardly a success, the Tigers exploded offensively the second time they
left the ECAC. During a weekend sweep of Providence (6-5) and Merrimack
(4-1), Princeton scored 10 goals.
- On the 11th day of Christmas - Halpern needs 11 points to move into
fourth place on the all-time scoring list at Princeton.
