Brendan Gorman Signs AHL Contract With Ontario Reign
March 30, 2026 | Men's Ice Hockey
Senior forward Brendan Gorman has signed his first professional contract, agreeing to terms with the Ontario Reign. He has signed a professional tryout (PTO) for the remainder of the 2025-26 season and agreed to terms on a standard AHL player contract for the 2026-27 season.
"We're excited for Brendan as he embarks on his professional career," said head coach Ben Syer. "He's been a catalyst for this program since the day he arrived and risen to rank among the top scorers in program history. He's been a key component in all three phases for us, and opposing teams have often had their best defensive players assigned to shut down Brendan's line. Brendan has been a great teammate and leader and I know he will fit in well with his new teammates and coaches. Everyone with the Princeton Hockey family is looking forward to watching him play at the pro level."
Gorman, who will graduate No. 25 on Princeton's all-time scoring list with 91 points, finished his Tigers career with 37 goals and 54 assists over 124 career games. He tallied 11 of his 37 goals on the power play and added another three short-handed goals.
A third-team All-ECAC and first-team All-Ivy selection after the 2024-25 season, Gorman led the Tigers in goals (12), assists (14) and points (26) over 30 games played. This season, he followed with 13 goals -- including a career-high six power-play goals -- and 22 total points in 34 games.
