Men's Hockey Leads ECAC With 11 Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholars

A stellar year for the Princeton men's ice hockey team on the ice has carried over to its work in the classroom as the Tigers have had 11 players honored as Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholars.

Princeton's 11 All-American scholars were the most of any ECAC program and only nine schools in Division I men's ice hockey had more All-American Scholars that Princeton.

To qualify a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goalies. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.

"I am tremendously proud of the 11 members of our team who were honored as All-American Scholars," said head coach Ben Syer. "Their drive and dedication every day to be the best version of themselves on and off the ice sets the tone for everything we want to be as a program. They embrace everything that it means to be a Princeton student-athlete in terms of competing for championships, serving our community and achieving in the classroom and their standard permeates through our entire program."
