Princeton Men's Fencing Team at Penn State Open

State College, Pa. - The Princeton University men's fencing team competed in the Penn State Open this weekend as Thompson had the best finish for the team in any of the three competitions. Joining Thompson in the men's epee competition were Bill Beaver, Matt Fitzgerald and Steve Caputo, who finished 18th, 19th and 41st respectively. In the men's foil competition Jon Jew-Lim finished in 11th place, Dustin Reagan was 13th, Eric Stodola came in 14th place, Matthew Catino was in 16th place, Rami Ajami ended up 30th, Jo Spitalnik was 49th and Ben Webber was tied for 50th. The Tigers competed well in the men's sabre competition as Terry Kim finished in eighth place, Josh Younger took 12th place and Michael Brosterman was in 13th place. Other Princeton fencers in the men's sabre competition included Eddie Chou (26th place), James Leighton (35th place) and Jon Blasiak (43rd place).
The Princeton Men's fencing team's next competition will be at New York University on December 2, 2000.
