Princeton Women's Swimming and Diving Wins Home Invitational; Men Finish Second

PRINCETON, N.J> - After three days of competition, the Princeton women's swimming and diving team won the Princeton Invitational on Sunday with a total of 1,103.50 points. Brown placed second with 925 points and No. 23 Tennessee placed third with 908.50.
The Princeton men's team finished second with 928 points behind seventh ranked Tennessee, 1,035 pts. Brown was third with 649 and 19th ranked Penn State was fourth with 402 points. Both of Princeton's teams beat Brown in dual meet competition.
Lauren Rossi won the 200 breast stoke with a time of two minutes, 19.07 seconds followed by Chrissy Holland in second place (2:19.26). Valerie Kukla was placed second for the Tigers in the 1,650 free (16:52.56). Kevin Volz also placed second in the 1,650 free with a time of 15:25.48. Freshman Juan Valdivieso was fourth (15:40.26). Valdivieso also placed second in the 200 fly (1:48.20), Craig Wales was third (1:50.01).
Princeton's men's team will host Army on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1:00 p.m. The women's team does not resume competition until Jan. 5, 2001 at Rutgers.
