Princeton Tops Georgetown In Rescheduled Race

PRINCETON, N.J. - The men's lightweight crew finished out the 2000 regular race schedule with a commanding victory over Georgetown in a race that was rescheduled due to bad conditions on April 8.
In the varsity eight event, Princeton finished in a time of 5:48.8, followed by the Hoyas in second at 5:57.7. Princeton finished 1-2 in the junior varsity race as the second varsity finished in a time of 6:05.0 and the third varsity in a time of 6:11.8. Georgetown crossed the finish line in 6:18.2.
The Tigers took first place in the first freshman race with a time of 6:06.9. Georgetown's two freshman boats finished in second and third.
Princeton is now 4-3 and will return to action on Sunday, May 21, as the EARC Sprints.
Conditions: swirling inconsistent winds, sometimes head, more often tail. Good water.
