South Orange, N.J. - Mike Nugent scored his fifth goal of the season 2:37 into the game and Princeton never looked back, defeating Seton Hall 3-0 in South Orange, N.J. today. The Tigers snap a two-game slide, improving their record to 4-2-2. The Pirates lose for only the second time this season, dropping their mark to 7-2-1.
Lucas Moskowitz and Graeme Rein each scored for the first time this season and Nugent picked up an assist to give him a team-high 14 points on the year. Moskowitz scored on a Matt Douglas feed at 8:50 and Princeton led 2-0 at the intermission. Rein connected on a header off a corner kick at 68:23 to make the final 3-0.
Junior goalkeeper Jason White recorded his fifth shutout and fourth win with eight saves in 90 minutes of action. White has allowed more than one goal only one time this season. He currently has 52 saves in Princeton's eight games.
The Tigers play their fourth consecutive road game on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Brown. Princeton is 1-1-1 in Ivy League play. Saturday's game has a 7:30 p.m. start time. Princeton returns home next Wednesday, Oct. 17 for a 7:30 p.m. match-up with Loyola.
