Sprint Football Team Drops Season Finale

Princeton, N.J. - Senior Matt Hall capped off a six-play, 44-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that wrapped up Princeton's season and his career on Friday night at Frelinghuysen Field. The Tigers fell 35-6 to school rival Pennsylvania and finished the sprint football season at 0-6.
Christian Gomez gained 90 yards on 20 carries to finish the year with 468 total yards. L.T. Lawler and Dennis Bakke once again shared quarterback duties for Princeton. Lawler ended the game with 57 yards on 5 of 7 passing while Bakke completed 1 of 8 passes for 16 yards.
Penn led 14-0 at the half with touchdowns by Mark Gannon and Bamidele Olatunbosum. The Quakers came out throwing in the second half, putting up 21 points in the third quarter. Quarterback James Donapel hit Jeff Bagnoli for his third touchdown on the night, a 76-yard strike with 1:49 left in the third quarter. Penn ends the season with a 4-2 overall mark.
Ned Bartlett finished the game with 105 kickoff yards on five returns for Princeton. Brian Mickus led the Tiger defensive charge with 12 tackles and a sack. Gomez had nine tackles and Andrew Morabito had eight.
Princeton finished the season with 113.7 yards rushing per game, 131 yards passing per game and seven touchdowns. The Tigers finish fifth in the Collegiate Sprint Football League for the second straight year with a 0-4 conference record.
