first meeting: Cornell defeated Princeton 3-0 at historic Lynah Rink on Dec. 2. Freshman sensation Ryan Vesce and offensive leader Stephen B?by both had three assists, and Ian Burt made 20 saves to record the shutout. Other Cornell goals were scored by Matt McRae and Doug Murray. The Big Red ended Princeton's ECAC regular-season streak of 118 games without being shutout by an opponent. tomorrow night vs. Colgate - 7 p.m. - Baker Rink
Shane splurges against Saints - Assistant captain Shane Campbell scored four points (2g, 2a) in the 6-4 win at St. Lawrence last Friday. It was the first time that a Tiger has scored four points in a game since Chris Corrinet had two goals and two assists in the 4-4 vs. St. Lawrence on Nov. 11.
Not to be outdone by Campbell - Ethan Doyle (1g, 2a) and Josh Roberts (3a) each had three points in the 6-4 win at St. Lawrence.
Consistent Schneider - David Schneider has scored a point in each of the last four games (3g, 2a) and has a goal in the last three games.
Getting in the groove - Freshman defenseman Matt Maglione has an assist in each of the last two games.
A first for the Tigers - Princeton had the same number of shots (39) as its opponent for the first time this year in the 6-4 win at St. Lawrence.
Prime-time player - Scott Prime scored the game-winner on the power play in the 6-4 win at St. Lawrence. It was his second career goal.
Captain Kirk - Kirk Lamb's goal in the 6-1 loss at Clarkson was his first in six games.
Owen improving - Freshman Chris Owen has scored a point in two of the last four games (1g, 1a). His first collegiate goal came against Harvard, which had added significance since Owen grew up in the Boston suburb of Westwood.
Back with a vengeance - The Tigers played an aggressive brand of hockey at St. Lawrence, which was their first game action in three weeks because the players were taking first-semester exams.
A shot at redemption - In the first meeting Cornell shutout Princeton 3-0, which snapped the Tigers' streak of 118 consecutive games without a shutout in ECAC regular-season play.
No joshing around - Josh Roberts had three assists in Princeton's 7-4 win at Colgate on Dec. 1.
Power-play Parsons - Brad Parsons scored the game-winning goal on the power play against Colgate.
Campbell likes Colgate - Shane Campbell scored two goals in the 7-4 win at Colgate.
Hoping to turn the table - Princeton was outshot by both Colgate (30-26) and Cornell (31-20) in this season's earlier meetings.
Positive statistics to keep in mind - The Tigers are 3-1-2 when scoring four or more goals and are 4-2-1 when allowing three or fewer goals. In addition, Princeton is 5-2-2 when leading after the first period and 5-0-1 when leading after the second period.
Plus-minus rating leader - Freshman defenseman Matt Maglione leads Princeton with a +13 rating, and David Schneider is second on the team with a +4 rating.
