Women's Swimming and Diving Tops Columbia 142-82

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Sangeeta Puri won two events to lead the Princeton women's swimming and diving team to a 142-82 win over Columbia on Friday to close out the regular season with a perfect 8-0 overall record (7-0 Ivy). The Tigers won 12 out of 13 events and took the top three places in four events.
Puri won the 50 free with a time of 24.49 and the 100 back in 57.97. Puri swam the anchor leg of the winning 200 medley relay team with Kate Conroy, Chrissy Holland and Molly Seto (1:44.38). Valeria Kukla, Michelle Nielson, Seto and Jocelyn Petrella won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.54. Margaret Hirce took the 1,000 free (10:35.43), Ann-Marie Casperite won the 200 IM (2:10.16) and Stephanie Wright won the 400 IM with a time of 4:32.89. Seto led the sweep in the 200 free (1:55.33), Anna Kramer won the 100 fly (58.70) and Megan Donahue won the 100 free (53.33). Senior Erin Lutz led the sweep of Princeton divers in the three-meter competition with a score of 288.52 as did Katherine Mattison in the one- meter diving (276.90).
Princeton University will host the Ivy League Tournament Feb. 22-24 at DeNunzio Pool.
