Princeton, N.J. - Rachel Becker (So., Defense, Broomall, Pa.) was named Ivy League Co-Defensive Player of the Week for her stellar play on April 25 at No. 1-ranked Maryland. Jen Adams, who came into last Wednesday's game averaging 6.87 points per game, scored only two goals in Maryland's 7-6 win against the Tigers. In fact, one of Adams' goals came on a free position shot, which highlights how sound Becker's defensive play was.
Becker followed up her solid performance against the Terrapins with five groundballs and three caused turnovers in Princeton's 12-6 win versus Brown on Saturday, April 28. The sophomore defender is third on the team with 35 groundballs, and she leads the Tigers with 27 caused turnovers.
