Mike Nugent Named IvyLeagueSports.com Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Princeton, N.J. - Senior Mike Nugent (West Windsor) was named the IvyLeagueSports.com men's soccer Player of the Week after a two-goal performance in Princeton's Ivy opener at Dartmouth on Saturday, Sept. 22. Nugent scored twice as Princeton defeated the Big Green 3-0 in Hanover, N.H.
Nugent, who leads the Tigers with nine points on the year, put Princeton up 1-0 at the 17:58 mark on Saturday and capped off the game scoring at 80:39 by connecting on a penalty kick. Nugent leads the team with four goals this season.
The two-goal game was Nugent's second of the year. He also scored twice in Princeton's season opener against Monmouth on Sept. 8. Nugent and the Tigers continue Ivy League play on Saturday, Sept. 29 when they host Columbia at Lourie-Love Field in a 7:30 p.m. match-up.
