Princeton, NJ - The Princeton men's fencing team defeated Stevens Tech 18-9 on Saturday morning in Jadwin Gymnasium.
In Epee, Princeton topped the Ducks 5-4, led by a pair of victories each from Bill Beaver (Sr./Larchmont, N.Y.) and Phil Nevels (Jr./Chicago, Ill.). In Sabre, the Tigers again edged Stevens Tech 5-4, with junior Josh Younger (Short Hills, N.J.) notching a pair of victories. Princeton dominated the Ducks in foil, with an 8-1 advantage. Newcomer Scott Sherman (Fr./Wilmette, Ill.) earned three victories along with sophomore Eric Strodola (Flourtown, Pa.)
Princeton's men improved to 3-1 on the season, and return to action on Feb. 2, against St. John's, Columbia and Rutgers, at Columbia.
