Water Polo Opens ECAC Tournament with Victories

Annapolis, Md - Robert Urquhart led the Tigers with four goals as they defeated Iona 14-8 in their opening game of the ECAC tournament. In their second match of the day the Tigers defeated Harvard 10-8 and will face Queens tomorrow for the ECAC championship. Last year, the Tigers finished third at ECACs.
Princeton opened a 5-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and took an 8-2 advantage into halftime. Dan Holligan scored three goals. Kevin Foster, Mike McKenna, Dean Riskas, Michael Murray, Derrick Wong, John Stover and Scott Zawilski each tallied on goal in the victory.
Gant Morgner played the entire match in the cage for the Tigers and recorded seven saves.
In the second contest of the day, The Tigers were able to stretch a 9-5 lead to 10-8 victory over Harvard. Foster and Urquhart each had three goals. Chris Armato, Jamal Motlagh, Wong and Stover each had one goal in the win.
Princeton will face Queens on Sunday, October 27 at 1;00 p.m. for the ECAC championship
