Princeton Leads After Second Day At Ivy Championships

Cambride, Mass. - Princeton took over the top spot at the 2002 Ivy League swimming and diving championships with members of the 200 medley relay team scoring major points on day two of competition at Cambridge, Mass.
The relay team starting things off right for Princeton on Friday afternoon with a victory and 40 team points to push the Tigers out front early. The team, consisting of Kate Conroy, Molly Seto, Chrissy Holland and Chrissy Macauley won the 200 medley Ivy title as a team, then branched out to garner individual points for the team.
Conroy won the 100-yard backstroke in 55.74 and Macauley won the 100-yard breaststroke to give the Tigers two more individual champions. Valeria Kukla joined them in the winner's circle with a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Seto picked up 17 points with her second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly and Holland placed third in the 100 breast to give the Tigers 16 more points.
Princeton heads into the third and final day of competition with 509 total points. Brown University, which led after day one, is in second place with 482 points and Harvard sits in third with 414 points.
