Princeton Women Win 32nd Straight Swim Meet

New York, N.Y. - The Princeton University women's swimming and diving team won its 32nd straight meet and its seniors became the first class to go unbeaten in dual-meet action as the Tigers downed Columbia 153-140 in New York, N.Y. this afternoon.
Chrissy Macaulay led a 1-2-3 Princeton finish in the 200-yard breaststroke and Amy Jones led a sweep of the 500-yard freestyle in one of the Tigers' closest dual-meets of the season. Katie Kopil captured the 100-yard butterfly in 59.30 and Ann-Marie Casperite won the 100-yard freestyle in 54.26 to give Princeton another undefeated dual-meet season.
Molly Seto won the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.84) with teammate Sandra Kamholz taking second with a time of 1:56.25. Kamholz also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle.Claire Pearson won the 100-yard backstroke and Katie Kuga won the 100-yard breaststroke for the Tigers. Meredith Saylor placed second in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events.
Princeton finishes 8-0 in dual-meet action and 7-0 in the Ivy League. The Tigers now focus their attention to the Ivy League Championships which will take place from Thursday-Saturday Feb. 21-23 at Cambridge, Mass.
