Men's Epee Squad Leads Princeton At IFA Championships

Princeton, NJ - The Princeton University men's epee squad placed second at the 2002 Intercollegiate Fencing Association Championships today. The squad finished the day with 25 victories in 36 bouts, yet perennial power St. John's won the overall title with team victories in the men's sabre squad, the men's epee squad and the 3-weapon team.
Eddie Chou placed second in the men's sabre on day one with 10 victories in 12 bouts. Chou finished the day with 55 touches scored and 31 touches received. Soren Thompson placed second in the men's epee with 11 victories in 12 bouts.
The Princeton sabre squad finished fourth, the foil squad finished fifth and the 3-weapon team placed fifth as well.
