Princeton Divers Compete At NCAA Championships

Austin, Texas - Seniors Danielle Stramandi and Katherine Mattison ended their collegiate careers on the boards at the 2002 NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas on Friday, March 22. Stramandi competed on the the 1-meter board and the platform, while Mattison dove from both the 1- and 3-meter heights.
Stramandi earned All-America honorable mention with a 16th-place showing on the platform. She placed 33rd overall with 223.95 points while Mattison finished two spots back at 35th with 218.55 points on the 1-meter board. Mattison then placed 38th in the 3-meter competition with 212.70 points.
Auburn won the team title with 474 points, Georgia finished second with 386 and Stanford placed third with 301. Princeton finished 45th as a team with all its points coming from divers.
