Women's Lacrosse Team Hosts Cornell On Saturday

Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton University women's lacrosse team takes its No. 2 national ranking and a 6-1 record into this Saturday's 12 p.m. game with Cornell. The Tigers, winners of their last six games, look to extend their 14-game winning streak against the Big Red at Class of 1952 Stadium.
Princeton is 1-0 in the Ivy League for the ninth consecutive year. The Tigers have started 2-0 each of the last four years and finished all four of those seasons with 6-1 conference records.
Theresa Sherry leads the Tigers in scoring with 21 points on 16 goals and five assists. Lauren Simone has 20 points with both Mimi Hammerberg and Kim Smith have 15 points after seven games played.
The Tigers have outscored their opponents by a 101-53 margin and have taken 219 shots compared to 128 taken by opponents. Freshman goalie Sara Kolodner has 42 saves and is 5-0 as a starter this season.
Cornell enters the game with a 5-0 record and is 2-0 in Ivy competition.
