Tigers Claim Third Straight Ivy League Men's Golf Championship

Jackson, N.J. - Senior James Milam claimed medalist honors and Princeton claimed its third straight title at the Ivy League Men's Golf Championships in Jackson, N.J. The Tigers finished Sunday's final round at Metedeconk National Golf Club with a team total of 306 and a two-day total of 894.
Milam led all individuals with rounds of 74-69-75 to become Princeton head coach Will Green's third Ivy champion in as many seasons. Green, who has coached Princeton to the Ivy title in each of his first three season at the school, heads to his third straight NCAA Regional with the Ivy League's automatic bid.
Princeton earned its 13-stroke win over second-place Yale with three Tigers in the Top-6 and a 1-2 finish atop the leaderboard. Freshman Creighton Page was the tournament runner-up with a 54-hole score of 222. Page followed yesterday's second round of one-under par 71 with a 74 in the tournament's final round.
Junior Cassidy Traub, who came into Sunday's round in a three-way tie for third, shot a 78 and finished sixth overall. Traub, Page and Milam each earned All-Ivy honors with Top-7 finishes. Sophomore Greg Johnson placed 12th overall with a two-day total of 231 and freshman Jon Nuger finished with a three-round score of 234 and an 18th- place showing.
The Tigers win their first tournament of the spring and head to State College, Pa. for the Rutherford Intercollegiate, next Saturday-Sunday April 27-28. The NCAA Regionals begin on Thursday, May 16.
