Avery Kiser Medals At Ivy Championships

Trenton,N.J. - Freshman Avery Kiser won the individual title at the 2002 Ivy League Women's Golf Championships and Princeton finished second as a team with Sunday's round of 329 at the Trenton Country Club in Trenton, N.J. The Tigers relinquish the Ivy crown to Yale, the only other school to win the conference tournament in its six-year history.
Kiser finished with rounds of 73-76-77 to become the fourth Tiger to medal over the past six seasons. She won All-Ivy honors and ended the two-day tournament with seven birdies and 31 pars. Princeton scored a three-round 980 while Yale took the team title with a 963.
Sophomore Esty Dwek shot a 54-hole score of 251 and placed 10th among all individuals. Freshman Meg Nakamura finished 12th with her score of 254, while junior Megan Milam finished two strokes and two places back with a 256. Junior Vanessa Redman shot a three-round 261 and placed 18th overall.
Princeton continues its spring campaign with the Northeast Championships in Amherst,Mass. next Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28.
