Princeton, N.J. - Damion Dennis was named assistant women's swimming coach at Princeton University today. Dennis will join the Princeton swimming family next season and will work with a women's swim team that has won three straight Ivy League championships.
Dennis will assist head coach Susan Teeter in the day-to-day activities with the women's program. He comes to Princeton with a masters of arts in kinesiology from Michigan (2002) and a bachelor's of science in physical education from Western Illinois (2000). He is a member of USA Swimming and the College Swim Coaches Association of America.
While at Western Illinois, Dennis was a first-team All-Mid-Continent Conference selection and a four-year varsity letterwinner on the swimming team. At Michigan, he was a member of the women's swim team staff where he organized and supervised team workouts.
"I'm really excited about what Damion can bring to the program," says coach Teeter. "His training experience at Michigan will make us a stronger team. He's an excellent addition to our staff."
