Men's Lightweight's Fall At Harvard

Cambridge, Mass. - The Princeton lightweight crew teams headed north to the Charles River with the Class of 1999 Cup and Goldthwait Cup both on the line. Princeton's women came away with the Class of 1999 Cup, but Yale took the spoils of victory on the men's side.
The women's race saw Princeton's Varsity 4 finish in 9:13.9, way ahead of second-place Harvard (9:25.3) and third-place MIT (10:20). The Tigers also won the Varsity 8, crossing the line in 7:49.1. Harvard finished second once again with a time of 7:53.3 and MIT placed third with an 8:04.2.
The men's race had a different outcome for Princeton. The Tigers placed second in the Varsity 8, four seconds back of Yale, which finished in 6:28.6. Harvard was third in 6:37.4.
The 2nd Varsity had Yale finishing first, Princeton placing second and Harvard taking third again. The Tigers did, however, win the 3rd Varsity race.
