Princeton Jumps Out To Big Lead After Day 1 of H-Y-P Women's Swimming

Cambridge, Mass. - Chrissy Macaulay, Chrissy Holland and Michelle Nielson each won an individual event and teamed with Molly Seto to win a relay as the Princeton women's swimming team surged to a big early lead after the first day of the H-Y-P meet at Harvard's Blodgett Pool.
Princeton led Yale 119-50 and Harvard 114-55 in the double dual format. Harvard led Yale 102-67.
The conclusion of the women's event and the beginning of the men's event are both Saturday, and the men's meet concludes Sunday.
Princeton's foursome won the first event of the night, the 200 medley relay, to start the Tigers on their way. Sarah Fraumann, Eileen Altenburger and Libby Engelmeier went 1-2-3 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, the second event.
Nielson then added the 100 backstroke and Holland followed with the 100 breaststroke. Altenburger followed her second place in the 1,000 with a first in the 200 butterfly.
Princeton had its second 1-2-3 sweep when Macauley, Seton and Megan Donohue took the 50 freestyle.
