Lions And Tigers Battle To Scoreless Tie In Men's Soccer

PRINCETON, N.J. - Erik White made five saves and the Princeton defense shut down Columbia's offense as the two Ivy League teams battled to a scoreless tie on Louire-Love Field.
The Lions out-shot Princeton six to two in the first half but White's four early saves kept Columbia off the board. The Tigers took two shots in the first half, two in the second and none in overtime but held Columbia to just one shot in the second half and one in the first overtime.
In the evenly matched game, each team finished with five corner kicks and Princeton had 10 fouls compared to eight by Columbia.
Princeton is now 4-4-3 overall, Columbia is 6-3-1 and both teams are 1-1-1 in the Ivy League. The Tigers visit Harvard next Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m.
