Men's Water Polo Advances To Semifinals Of Southerns

PRINCETON, N.J. - The men's water polo team defeated Gannon 12-6 and Penn State Behrend 14-3 to advance to the semifinals of the Southern Championships tonight at Bucknell. Princeton faces either Johns Hopkins or Bucknell at 8:10 p.m. with the winner advancing to the championship game tomorrow, Sunday Oct. 2 at 12 p.m.
In Friday night's matchup with Gannon, Derrick Wong scored two first quarter goals and Jacob Harter, Jamal Motlagh and John Stover each added one to give the Tigers a quick 5-1 lead. Harter and Nicholas Seaver scored again in the second quarter for a 7-3 score at the half.
Seaver finished with a team-high three goals while Stover and Harter had two each. Victor Wakefield added one goal and two assists for the Tigers.
