Volleyball Gets Back On Track With 3-1 Win Over Concordia

The Princeton men's volleyball won a marathon first game and saved its best volleyball for the final two games to earn a 3-1 win over Concordia Thursday night at Dillon Gym. Ryn Burns led Princeton with 13 kills, while Blake Robinson and Brian Hamming had 11 kills apiece.
Princeton and Concordia went back and forth in the first game, with both teams having an opportunity to close out the game. After several missed opportunities, Princeton finally emerged with a 34-32 win. Concordia bounced back, thanks to the strong hitting of both Peterson Metellus and Felipe Reichert, to win the second game 30-27. Princeton took the third game 30-25 and cruised to victory 30-19 in the finale.
Jason Liljestrom had 52 assists, eight blocks and two digs, while Mark Stevens added a team-best nine digs.
Matellus had 18 kills while Reichert had 13 and Rafael Diaz had 11. Jesus Perez had 55 assists to go along with six kills, four digs and three blocks.
Princeton will host Penn State Sunday at 4 p.m.
