PRINCETON, N.J. - The men's volleyball team tried for a major upset in conference play, taking a 1-0 lead over Penn State before finally succumbing to the big hitting of the defending EIVA champion. The Nittany Lions won the final three games comfortably to take a 3-1 win.

Princeton was led by Dennis Alshuler, who had 14 kills and a .314 attack percentage. Blake Robinson had 12 kills, while Brian Hamming added 11. Jason Liljestrom added 40 assists.

Carlos Guerra had 21 kills for Penn State, while Dan O'Dell had 65 assists.

Princeton will host New York University Wednesday at 7 p.m.
