Princeton Sweeps Navy, Columbia To Open Men's Lightweight Crew Season

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton's top varsity boat fought off a tough Navy squad to open its 2003 season with a victory Saturday morning on the Tigers' home course at Lake Carnegie. The rest of the Princeton crew followed suit, as the Tigers won all four lightweight men's races against Navy and Columbia.
The men's heavyweight third varsity and freshman boats also raced today against Navy, while the top two varsity boats raced at the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic in Redwood Shores, Calif. The third varsity and top freshman boats also earned wins at Lake Carnegie, while the second freshman was defeated.
